A fine 9ct gold pendant featuring St Christopher, the patron saint of travellers, with the the Christ child on his shoulders. This gold medal is beautifully styled and was made in the 1960s by artist, sculptor, and internationally acclaimed medallist Paul Vincze. Vincze was born in Hungary in 1907 and later became a British citizen. Vincze studied at the State School of Arts and Crafts in Budapest under medallist Ede Telcs, who he described as “the greatest medallist of this generation”, and went on to be an influential force in sculpture and won multiple international awards.
This medal is 16mm diameter, which is the smaller size of this series of medals
It has a small bale attached
British hallmarks for 9ct gold, and signed 'P. VINCZE'

The medal is in good used condition, some patina which gives a matt gold finish
