Vintage 'Dearest' Ring in 9ct Gold

This 'dearest' ring is a classic piece of acrostic jewellery, with the gemstones spelling the word - diamond, emerald, amethyst, ruby, emerald, sapphire and finally topaz (approx. 0.08 – 0.10ct each). This ring is made in the late 20th century but it has been inspired by the Victorian era; the Victorians loved romantic sentiment, and acrostic jewellery was a popular way to express secret messages spelt out in gemstones to their sweetheart.
