Items are usually dispatched within 2-3 working days, unless they are being re-sized, in which case please allow an additional 10-14 days for dispatch. Occasionally it takes us a little longer to dispatch an item, in which case we will get in touch. If you are in a hurry please drop us a message to let us know and we will do our best.  

Shipping to UK addresses will be sent after the dispatch time on a next day, pre-1pm tracked, insured service with Royal Mail. 

Please ensure you will be able to receive your parcel on the day, or have a specified safe place for it to be left. A tracking number will be supplied. In the event of any issues please contact louise@loupjewels.com.

For worldwide delivery we use DHL Express or FedEx and we will send you a tracking link once it has been dispatched.

Note: Worldwide shipments are nearly always liable for local duty and taxes, which differ per country. The customer is responsible for paying all duty and tax. Please read on below for more information. 

Although we can't be held responsible for delays, we will try and assist you with liaising with the courier if there are any problems.

  

WORLDWIDE DUTIES AND CUSTOMS:

You (the buyer) are responsible for any additional customs or duties for delivery to your country. DHL / FedEx will contact you directly to request payment before the item is delivered.

Although we will try and assist you in ascertaining what duty will be, we are ultimately not responsible for costs, delays in shipping due to customs, or for any additional local tariffs, taxes or fees. In accordance with the law and our insurance policies, we always declare the correct value amount to the relevant customs organisations.

INFORMATION FOR USA CUSTOMERS:

Update: as of April 2025 US shipments are subject to an additional 10% tariff charge on all shipments, regardless of antique status. Unfortunately, in this changing climate, Loup Vintage Jewels cannot be held responsible for any additional charges on deliveries to the USA. Please note this is changing all the time so please do get in touch if you are not sure about the latest tariffs.

Items over 100 years old are exempt from some taxes and duty (but not the new 10% tariff) and, if appropriate, we will send the paper work to support this. If the item you have purchased is less than 100 years of age you will be subject to taxes and duties in the USA, usually circa 5 - 10% of the value, and the courier will contact you directly to pay these with US customs. 
If your item is over $2500 in value you may also be contacted by US customs to provide more information about yourself before they release the item. Please check your taxes and tariffs locally before purchasing.

AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMERS:

GST and duty is due on all imports to Australia. Please check taxes and duty rates locally.

EU CUSTOMERS:

Due to Brexit, rules around imports to Europe from the UK have changed, and you will have VAT to pay, at your national rate.
If the item is over 100 years old there is usually a reduced fee between 7 - 15%, but please check locally.
