2.00ct Unheated Ruby and Diamond Vintage Ring

This vintage 1970s ruby and diamond ring showcases a remarkable 2.10ct natural, unheated oval-cut ruby - prized for its rarity and purity of colour. The ruby is accented by 1ct of bright, baguette-cut diamonds down each shoulder, all set in yellow gold.

Why I chose it: most rubies are heated, so to find an unheated natural ruby with this kind of rich colour is rare. This ring is a really great example of architectural 1970s design with solid weighty gold and rich gem colours, all in a really well made ring.

The ruby and bezel measures 7mm wide x 8mm tall.

Diamonds down the shoulders: 1ct baguette-cut, G-H colour, VS clarity

Metal: 18ct yellow gold (stamped 750 and tested)
