Antique Gold Locket with Star set Diamond and Seed Pearls

A wonderfully smooth, buttery yellow gold antique locket, set with a single old cut diamond and a half moon of seed pearls. This locket likely dates to the late Victorian period, and the moon and stars are a typical motif of this period. The locket is in working order, and opens to reveal a picture compartment.
