Antique Gold Locket with Star set Diamond and Seed Pearls

A wonderfully smooth, buttery yellow 15ct gold antique locket, set with a single old cut diamond and a half moon of seed pearls. This locket dates to the late Victorian period, and the moon and stars are a typical motif of this period. The locket is in working order, and opens to reveal a picture compartment (which can be removed). In excellent condition for its age with a smooth patina to the gold and it’s wonderfully tactile.

the diamond measures 2.2mm diameter

Tests as 15ct gold

Weight: 3.74g
