Antique Victorian 15ct Gold Brooch with Star Set Diamond

Dating to the late 1800s, this beautiful brooch is crafted in the Etruscan style, characterised by the fine milligrain and metalwork detail and matt finish. It has a small old cut diamond, star set, in the centre and a small glass panel on the reverse which may have been used to hold a keepsake like a lock of hair. The brooch is in wonderful condition & is great worn as it is or could be converted to a pendant.
