Vintage Sapphire and Diamond Toi et Moi

The Toi et Moi (French for "you and me") ring typically features two intertwined stones symbolizing two souls uniting. The style dates to the late 18th century, gaining fame when Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to Josephine de Beauharnais with a sapphire and diamond version in 1796, establishing it as a romantic emblem of love, balance, and partnership. This particular toi et moi ring showcases a 0.70ct natural round brilliant cut diamond paired with a striking 1.06-carat cushion-cut sapphire from Sri Lanka. The sapphire is deep, vibrant blue and the stones are arranged in a sophisticated crossover configuration, complemented by diamond-set shoulders.
